It’s the job of life to confound expectations, and nothing is as chewy as eating your words.  After my rant yesterday, I was presented by Lyns with some cash we’d been given by the Three Tuns for our Houdini set on Sunday, which enabled me to get a guitar stand.

Then we had a night at the Golf Tavern, whose staff could not have been more helpful, interested, organised  and appreciative. And they paid us. We had a good audience for the first set, although it had thinned by the time we resumed hostilities.
