I have been offered, and accepted, a spot at the Nicolson Street Bean Scene next Thursday (26th). They had a cancellation by (presumably) a well-known and entertaining young artiste , and they decided to offer it to the old groaner instead. Well I think this will be bleeping and droning rather than groaning. Or, to put it more positively:
