While Madame and Pest made a first assault on the Boxing Day sales, I tidied my study and sat down to address a long list of outstanding jobs for the Out of the Bedroom website. It all went well until I had to update the discussion board software. I’ve done it several times without mishap, although it’s always nail-biting stuff, but this time I managed not only to bring down the entire thing, but to lock myself out into the bargain. Cue lots of searching and posting on help forums. By 10:30pm I’d got it up and running again, but without the upgrade or a clue as to what had gone wrong.
