Today is the end of my 30-day trial of the practice of getting up at 5:45 with the first ring of the alarm. It’s not always been easy but I’ve kept it up pretty consistently, and it’s certainly given me time for writing and drawing, in addition to meditation, before breakfast. I’ve enjoyed getting back into writing, despite the usual feeling that everything I write is rubbish, and then recognising later that there’s something worthwhile in some of it. And it hasn’t made me noticeably more tired, nothing a 10m nap during the day can’t get rid of. So will I keep it up? Yes. Is the 30-day trial idea a good one? Yes. What will I trial next? Mmm, dunno.
