Thursday: Innocents rehearsal – another new song for the group, Love Catch You When You Fall, and a fairly successful run through the others. Lynsey was not there and while Nelson handles the bass duties well, there’s a certain energy missing, which I’m not sure how to replace. The group’s presence is too soft. But it’s early days.

Electric band rehearsal was cancelled due to childcare difficulties for Sean and Tricia, so I stayed in and did some recording. Laid down the basic backing track for I Want To Know, then amused myself by playing endless guitar solos over it, the odd couple of seconds having quality, the rest hysterically bad.
