Birds of Chicago: Old Calcutta

A good friend introduced me to this band, whose CD has been gradually growing on me, but this is the song that first made me want to hear more. I loved the non-sequitur, intriguing lyrics. The audience here seems to find them funny. Well, fair enough. I’ve recorded a song I wrote last year which is very similar – odd little images from childhood to the almost the same chord sequence. Maybe that’s why I like this so much. Regardless, I hope you like it.
