My favourite song ever is Jacques Brel’s Ne Me Quitte Pas.  I avoid the saccharine version called If You Go Away, even though Scott Walker sang it, and base my version on one I found on a now-deleted EP by Momus, who gets to  the the heart of Brel’s words.
