Local (to me) musician Graeme E Pearson (a great character, and surely one of the tallest men in Scotland) is causing a stir in the Royal Mile. He wants to run musical walking tours but Mercat Tours, one of several companies who operate there, don’t want him starting off anywhere near their tours. It could lead to ‘confusion of products’. Of course, innocent tourists might be confused by a six foot guy in tartan trews with a guitar round his neck when they’re looking for someone dressed as a Halloween ghost.
The story’s here and is also interesting from the point of view of seeing how comments on blogs can degenerate into drivel.
