Secret CDs launch night

Jim Igoe announces  that the first ever Secret CDs gig will be taking place on Wednesday 5th December 2007 in The Phoenix cellar bar, 48a Broughton Street, Edinburgh EH1 3SA. Doors open 7.30 and the night will run until approximately 10.30 and entry will be £2 / £1 (concessions).

Lisa Paton (www.myspace.com/lisapaton) is a winner of The Gathering 07 Burnsong songwriting competition for her composition ‘Albasylum’. Lisa, accompanied by djembe master Stuart Clark, will be playing songs from her excellent ‘Hello’ CD.
      
Blueflint (www.myspace.com/blueflint)– “A female banjo bluegrass duo you just have to hear.” Rick Fulton [Daily Record]. “Blueflint play haunting bluegrass shot through with a yearning sadness and soothing harmonies.” [The List].
      
Simon Kempston (www.myspace.com/simonkempstonfolk) is a classically-trained musician with a huge repertoire of original material. Simon has supported Archie Fisher and Martin Stephenson and his song ‘Dounreay’ was a finalist in the 2007 Democrazy competition.
      
Norman Lamont (www.normanlamont.com) is a local legend and possibly the best lyricist in the Edinburgh scene. Norman will be featuring songs from his CD ‘The Wolf Who Snared The Moon’.
