I'm pleased to be playing a charity gig on Friday night in aid of Oxfam, Epilepsy Scotland and the Drake Project. Drake is a great organisation which enables people with all sorts of disabilities to play and compose music by providing innovative technology. Some Drake members have formed a band, Audibility, fronted by an old friend of mine – and in some ways my songwriting mentor – Dave Christopher. On Friday Dave will be playing with Audability and joining me and Dave Watson, who produced a lot of my Wolf album, for a few songs after the Helpers set. The Helpers will be without Trip ( 'James Whyte' ) Hazard, but we will be augmented by the remarkable Ms Fiona J Thom.
8-12 at the Pleasance Bar, Fri 27 May. Voluntary donations at the door.
