Having decided not to do my annual Acoustic Music Centre show this year, and focus efforts on the recording of the Heaven Sent album, I thought I wouldn’t be part of the Festival at all. But I’ve been kindly invited to a few stages during the Festival, both solo and with the band. So here they are:
Wednesday 3rd August 10pm The Blind Poet 2 W Nicolson St, (solo)
Sunday 7th August 8pm The Boundary Bar, 379 Leith Walk (solo)
Friday 12th August afternoon/early evening Adam Pottery, Stockbridge, (Waveforms – ambient looping during Open Day at the pottery – time to be confirmed)
Friday 19th August 10:30pm The Blind Poet (with the Heaven Sent)
Sunday 21st August 5pm Leith Beer Company, The Shore, Leith (with the Heaven Sent)
Monday 22nd August 8:35pm St Andrews Square (with the Heaven Sent)
Thursday 25th August 9pm Jingling Geordies, 22 Fleshmarket Close (with the Heaven Sent)
Here’s a wee instrumental. I adapted it from a song I wrote with Ms Fi and recorded with John Lawrence on keyboards. This version was for a licencing opportunity. It didn’t make the grade but it’s quite fun. I’ll work the vocals from the original song into it soon.
