I haven’t been blogging much. Why? Well, microblogging is one reason. Most of my online friends seem to communicate through Facebook and it’s very convenient. I’ve stopped using Twitter to reduce distraction but Facebook is harder to walk away from. It is still useful. Another reason is that I’m maintaining a regular private diary as part of a discipline, so in a way I feel I probably write enough about me without writing a more public diary.
I’ve been pretty busy with various palavers of a musical form. The electric prog-soul-whatever band Bespoke took to the stage for its second gig, seven months after its first. Here’s the first of three Bespoke videos.
Then I played bass for Fiona J Thom, or Ms Fi, at the Forest Cafe. More video to follow, also of Townhouse and Sam Barber and the Outcasts.
… at which I also did a solo set:
The new band project, The Invisible Helpers, has been inching forward, and two of its members will be joining me for The Listening Room tomorrow night (Sunday May 30 at the Blue Blazer, Spittal St), so please join us for more of the above.
